Session Description:
This brief presentation will get you caught up on major happenings in the world of Certificate of Need. In 2020, the Department of Community Health grappled with the Governor’s emergency orders and accepted requests for waivers by providers attempting to meet COVID challenges. Changes in the personnel of the Department’s Office of Health Planning brought changes in interpretation, enforcement, and priorities. Appellate decisions challenged some long-standing assumptions. A new slate of Appeal Panel judges will rule on CON matters going forward. Questions and discussion welcome throughout.
