Course Curriculum

Join this session to hear attorneys with Whatley Kallas Litigation & Healthcare Group discuss the critical juncture reached in the In re Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation. For years, many hoped that Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) would engage the idea of a global resolution that would satisfy providers and be approved by the Court. However, it has become clear that global resolution will not happen anytime soon in the current posture of the case. The pending Class Action complaints and Motions for Class Certification have tolled the statute of limitation on claims, but the time has come for hospitals and other providers to prepare to act and protect their rights.

Whatley Kallas filed the original provider complaint in the In re Blue Cross Blue Shield Antitrust Litigation, MDL 2406, in July 2012. The Court appointed the firm as Co-Lead Counsel for Providers in 2013, and they have served in that role since.
