Target Audience: Health professionals entering the infection prevention field, the novice infection preventionist, infection preventionists looking for a one-day refresher course, and individuals who are responsible for infection prevention programs, including nurses, quality improvement staff, and pharmacists. Overview: The Georgia Hospital Association Research and Education Foundation (GHAREF) and Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) is offering a one-day, in-person Infection Prevention Boot Camp. This offering is for Georgia hospitals and other health care partners as a method to provide support in the professional development of "novice" infection preventionists. The program objective is to provide fundamental knowledge and core competencies for those new to the infection prevention role and responsible for the implementation of infection prevention programs that drive reduction in harms.
