Course Curriculum:
Recently there has been increased scrutiny and surveillance to make sure all hospitals are in compliance with the hospital Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs). Every hospital that accepts Medicare or Medicaid must be in compliance with these regulations and interpretive guidelines.

Did you know there were multiple changes to the hospital nursing chapter of the CoPs that went into effect November 29, 2019? Did you know there were over eighteen CMS survey memos of importance to nursing in the recent past? Our speaker will discuss the significant changes CMS has made to the Hospital Improvement Rule, including plans of care, staffing, policy changes, when a RN is required in an outpatient department, documentation, supervision, nursing leadership, verbal orders, antibiotic stewardship program requirements and more.
