Session Objectives:

1. Identifying how fatigue and burnout during the COVID pandemic is novel to just normal fatigue and burnout in the healthcare setting.
2. Identifying contributing factors that influence the novel fatigue and burnout created from COVID.
3. Identifying realistic supports to employees and healthcare systems amidst a pandemic to decrease COVID fatigue and burnout.

Speaker: Sara Cornwell, LCSW, Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital

Sara Cornwell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is the lead therapist for Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital’s Employee Assistance Program in Albany, GA. Sara graduated from the University of Georgia with her bachelor’s in psychology and then received her master’s in social work from Valdosta State University. Sara has worked in behavioral health fields for over 10 years. Sara is married to Marcus Cornwell who is a dog trainer on Pineland Plantation and has two children, Lincoln (4.5 yo), and Kinley (2.5 yo).
