Patient Safety and Health Care Education and Consulting
Last year the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the final Hospital Improvement Rule, which effectively combined three laws into one. The rule included 393 pages of the Conditions of Participation (CoPs) manual, including the sections on nursing; medical records; infection control; quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI); patient rights; history and physical (H&Ps); and restraint and seclusion.
This webinar will provide an in-depth review of the changes impacting all hospitals, including Critical Access Hospitals. It will also cover the requirement to have an antibiotic stewardship program and how to implement such a program. Additionally, attendees will learn how CMS clarified a number of existing requirements and federal regulations that are already final.
