She will examine some of the important CMS memos that discuss medication management, IV and safe opioid use. The current interpretive guidelines regarding pre and post-anesthesia evaluations and anesthesia services, including documentation requirements, will be discussed. Our speaker will also identify the types of deficiencies hospitals receive in the areas of informed consent, history and physicals (H&Ps), safe injection practices, compounding and beyond-use dates.
