COVID-19 is presenting a barrage of challenges to America’s healthcare system. While the focus has primarily been on meeting the short term demands of the crisis, a post-COVID-19 environment has begun to emerge. What are the factors hospitals must consider as they chart a course back to organizational viability in healthcare’s new post-pandemic era? This and related questions are addressed in COVID-19: Preparing for the New Normal, a webinar examining the strategic and tactical challenges hospitals face as a result of the pandemic and how to address them. The webinar outlines organizational, staffing, telehealth, patient safety and other areas likely to be transformed by COVID-19 and ways hospitals can pivot to get in front of these developments. Strategies and tactics reviewed are based on real-world consultations the presenters have provided to healthcare organizations of various types and sizes that are actively working their way through these challenges.
