Course Curriculum: Part III of this series will review infection control and quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) home health conditions of participation (CoPs). Having an agency-wide quality improvement program has always been important to improve a facility and maintain compliance. However, with a condition on QAPI, it is mandatory for agencies to comply. Infection control standards are a very important but can be a vulnerable area for home health agencies. The integration of infection control standards into the QAPI program is the key and will be addressed. Our speaker will discuss how having a great quality program will lessen agency problems by maintaining compliance to make agencies are successful! Additionally, she will share examples of audit tools and quality indicators.
